Fr. Prentice Tipton preached at all of the Masses at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church this past weekend. In this homily from the Saturday Vigil Mass, Fr. Prentice tells the congregants that Jesus wants to create a venue called the church where the other feels respected and loved, and his humanity is cherished. While discussing racial strife in the United States, including incidents that have happened at OLGC, Fr. Prentice remarks that, “The gospel cannot impact the world the way God intends if we, the people of God, fail to allow the gospel to transform the way we relate to the other.” Fr. Prentice concludes by telling the congregation that, “A sign of Easter faith is the transformation that happens in the way we relate to the other.”
