Deacon Dave Carignan preached at all of the Mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church this past weekend. In this homily from the 10 AM Mass, Deacon Dave uses the Canaanite woman in Matthew (MT 15:21-28), an outsider who persevered in her belief that Jesus would help her, and who was rewarded for her great faith, as a model for our own prayer life.  We should pray with an expectation and thankfulness that Jesus will answer our prayer with mercy and healing.

Fr. Prentice Tipton preached at all of the Masses at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church for the weekend of August 12-13. In this homily from the noon Mass, Fr. Prentice describes the example of St. Paul, who is anguished because the people of Israel do not know Jesus.  He asks whether we will accept as our mission to care passionately about the people in our lives who are in spiritual need or who have not yet encountered Jesus.
