Deacon Steve Mitchell preached at all of the masses at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church this past weekend for The Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe. In this homily from the 10 AM Mass, Deacon Steve draws from World War II analogies that relate to our current spiritual battles. The war has been won in Jesus and yet we still battle sin. Deacon Steve concludes by telling the congregants that we can only experience the peace of Christ when we are under the reign of Christ. |

Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish was pleased to host Fr. Myron Effing, CJD, for a weekend missionary appeal this past weekend. Fr. Myron works with the Mary Mother of God Mission Society and has been working to revive the Roman Catholic Church in Eastern Russia for the past 27 years. In this homily from the 5 PM Mass at OLGC Fr.
